In the Farm Occupation, we Take care of animals and crops while keeping up with work. In our science lessons, we work on earth history and make and observe science experiments. In math, we do some worksheets. In L.A. (language arts) we read passages or poems and write A.C.E.D. (answer, cite, explain, done) paragraphs to explain our opinion. In earth history, we do experiments and learn about our ancestor (ex. Homo Erectus, Homo Nalidi).

On the farm, we take care of chickens, alpacas, and goats. Each animal serves a purpose on our farm. The chickens lay eggs for the kitchen. The alpacas grow fiber for us to felt or spin and then knit or crochet. And then the goats make milk that is also used in the kitchen. By the end of the year, each student will have worked on the farm at least once by feeding the animals, cleaning the pens, fixing stuff, or other stuff like that.

This year we have a lot of new changes. In our occupation, we have two new teachers, Matt (L.A.) and Marrion (math). Our classes are now twice the size with bigger classrooms and double the students from last year.
